Met Office explains ‘weather battleground’ which will bury parts of UK in snow

Atlantic storms pushing in from the west will clash with stubborn high pressure in the north and northeast, meteorologists say. This will result in heavy snowfall across parts of Scotland and northern England by the end of the month, it is said.
